oval cut, 68 x 38 x 32 mm, a huge amethyst, dark and rich purple, nice color, natural and unenhanced. Two very small inclusion at girdle of the amethyst is visible from the pavilion facet, but otherwise it is quite clean. The amethyst gem was discovered and cut from a large amethyst crystal (the weight was more than 20 kg) in the year 2002. This is one the largest faceted amethyst with dark and rich purple I have seen, I wonder whether it is the largest amethyst gem in China, museum size and quality, nice and rare stone, a world class amethyst, suitable for a belt set with gold or for collecting and display in museum. This is a unique item!
